Abstract

Keeping in mind the natural and physical needs of human beings, Allah Almighty has made marriage legal for him in order to fulfill the physical needs of husband and wife as well as to maintain the continuation of the survival and growth of the human race. Therefore, Allah Almighty stressed to keep established and maintained this contract for ever. However, due to certain unavoidable reasons, termination of this bond is allowed which is defined as divorce.Although divorce is a permissible act, considering its terrible effects, Allah Ta'ala has declared it abhorrent and undesirable compared to all lawful affairs, such as after the occurrence of divorce; a man suffers from loneliness and psychological confusion, social scorn, being a target becomes a symbol of hatred, while the future of a divorced woman is at stake, fights and conflicts arise in the family and society and prove to be a precursor to life and financial losses so divorce should be avoided as much as possible by strictly adhering to Islamic teachings to protect individuals and society from its terrible effects.
