Abstract

The use of parables is not limited to the Quran alone; it can also be found in various celestial books before the Holy Quran. In the Gospel, many parables are mentioned, and the book of wisdom attributed to Solomon (peace be upon him) is also filled with parables.. The primary purpose of this article is to investigate the Quranic method of using parables.Data was collected from the Holy Quran and relevant literature, and logically organized according to educational perspectivesMathal/Mithal in relevant contexts were identified and analyzed in Quranic verses by their meanings. The findings confirm the significance of exploring the relationships among the words, context, background, similes, and metaphors used in Quranic parables. The purpose of Quranic parables is to present rational concepts in the garb of sensory images to facilitate their understanding. Therefore, it is recommended to integrate the method of conveying parables and examples into educational curricula at appropriate levels. Teachers should also be trained in using Quranic techniques for presenting parables.Understanding the hidden wisdom in Quranic parables requires not only scholarly knowledge but also a harmonious connection with the language of revelation. Quranic parables, with their eternal illumination, illuminate the paths towards both understanding and righteous actions.

Keywords: Quranic parable, mathal, polysemy, comparison, method.
