Abstract
The Halal Food Industry Faces many problems regarding Slaughtering Issue, The Most Important of them is the Slaughterer; because he directly carries out the slaughtering process, and he is the backbone in the slaughtering section, and through him the meat of the animal is permissible. Therefore, we see that meat has become an issue in which there are many challenges; because meat is the most widely exported and imported thing in the entire world, and it is used in many Halal products. It also affects the development of the country’s economy. And in view of these challenges, some bodies and Governments have taken an interest in setting Standards related to Halal Food, especially in the issue of slaughtering. These Standards must be applied in order for the “Halal Logo” to be stamped on products in the Halal Food Industry, and for good Halal food to reach consumers. Given the importance of the topic, in this research article we chose the standards related to slaughterer as a comparative study between Pakistan and Brunei Halal Food Standards, so that the study reveals the similarities and differences between the two standards, as shown through the study of standards that are based on it, and we learn how to mutually benefit from them. The slaughterer’s standards include the standards for the slaughterer to be Muslim, mentally sound, knowledgeable of the rules of slaughter, trained in the slaughtering process and the rules of hygiene and animal care, and for the slaughterer to be in a state of IHRAM.
